Your assignment is to create a PowerPoint detailing things about yourself and your life. The PowerPoint needs to be at least 10 slides and can really be about anything you want.

Here are some things to include:

*Family Life (parents, brothers, sisters, pets, etc) Anything you want to say about your family.
*Hobbies
*Friends, people you like hanging out with
*Favorites (music, TV shows, classes, teachers, sports teams, etc.)
*Places you have lived, places you have traveled

Russia Questions for Next Friday

Here are the possible essay questions that will be presented on the Russia Test next Friday:


1.      In what ways did Lenin and Stalin govern the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics?  Consider what actions the two men took and what life under their dictatorships was like.


2.      Do you think life for the average Russian citizen was better or worse under the totalitarian Soviet regime of the 1930s than it had been under the czars?  Explain you answer.


3.      Why did the Bolshevik Revolution succeed after earlier revolutions in Russia had failed?  In particular, what factors made it possible to have revolution in 1917 after many years of failed attempts?

4.      How and in what ways did Stalin's Five-Year Plans benefit the Soviet Union?  How and in what ways did they harm it?  Offer detailed information of how these plans impacted Soviet society.

Today we are going to be researching Sweatshops throughout the world. Companies such as Wal Mart and Nike have come under fire for their treatment of workers over the last 20 years. There are strong arguments for and against having sweatshops across the world. Here is some reading information for you:
