Europe Map
We will be having our Europe Map Quiz next Tuesday, Sept. 1st. We have reviewed the map already in class & students have been given a map which they can study from. A really good website called ilike2learn.com is a great way for students to study. Make sure to take the "Europe Map Quiz (Easy)" portion.
Today will be a quiz over sections 1 & 2 of Chapter 1. Have a great day!

WW II Project Checklist
Here are some things to consider for the project:
Research Paper
*Is our paper at least 2 pages long?
*Do we have citations within your paper?
Example: It is estimated that overall around 21 million people died in concentration camps and ghettos (www.ushmn.com)
*Do you have a title page with your topic in bold, a picture, names of groups members, and class hour?
*Did you proofread the paper?
*Do you have a bibliography that is properly cited? In this bibliography do you have at least 4 sources (NOT COUNTING WIKIPEDIA??)
PowerPoint/Presentation
*Do you have quality pictures?
*Do you have enough slides and information to have at least an 8-10 minute presentation?
*How are you dividing the presentation up with your group members?
*DO YOU KNOW YOUR INFORMATION MORE THAN JUST READING OFF A SLIDE?? DO YOU HAVE SPECIFICS WHERE YOU CAN EXPLAIN YOUR INFORMATION INSTEAD OF JUST READING??????
*Are you prepared??
*Can we read the text? Is there too much text?
*Is your topic clearly presentation in an organized manner?
*Is your topic is a 'sympathic topic' (i.e. Holocaust, concentration camps) and are you respectful of this?

World War II Projects
This week students will be working in groups on their World War II project. Students are going to be doing a research paper, PowerPoint, and presenting to the class. They seem to be working well together so I'm looking forward to their finished product.
Have a good day!
